GreenRock Energy Delivers Year-End Care in Chiayi, Sharing Community Compassion and Sustainability Values
As the year-end cold season approaches, GreenRock Energy responded on December 20 to the Chiayi County Council’s charity initiative, “Love in Action, Hand in Hand,” supporting vulnerable communities through concrete actions. By delivering warmth and care, GreenRock demonstrated its deep commitment to local society and translated sustainability values into meaningful contributions to regional development.
GreenRock Energy has long been deeply rooted in Chiayi. Its 120MW aquaculture–solar (Agri-PV) project in Budai Township is set to begin construction, integrating aquaculture with solar power generation to achieve a balance between environmental sustainability and economic growth. Guided by the philosophy of “coexistence and shared prosperity,” GreenRock is dedicated to creating a friendly environment, supporting local industries, and responding to community needs.
Each year, Chiayi County Council Speaker Ming-Da Chang organizes winter charity initiatives to support disadvantaged groups. In response to his invitation, GreenRock provided donations and care packages—including high-quality locally produced agricultural and fishery products—to 10 charitable organizations, such as care institutions and development centers across the county. Through these actions, GreenRock further strengthened its connection with the local community.
GreenRock Energy President Ming-Hung Lai stated:
“We believe that corporate growth must go hand in hand with local development. Chiayi is a key base for GreenRock Energy. Beyond advancing solar projects here, we aim to contribute genuine care and support to the community through tangible actions. In the future, we will also leverage high-quality aquatic products from our Agri-PV projects to support more vulnerable groups. Our sustainability vision extends beyond environmental protection—it emphasizes social harmony and human connection.”
GreenRock Energy’s strong development and engineering capabilities are widely recognized across the industry. For the Chiayi Agri-PV project, GreenRock provides a comprehensive, end-to-end solution, covering project development, EPC services, and aquaculture management to maximize local value creation. Once completed, the project is expected to generate 189 million kWh of green electricity annually and reduce approximately 170,294 metric tons of CO₂ emissions each year, further supporting Taiwan’s energy transition.
Looking ahead, the GreenRock Energy team will continue to uphold its core values of “local co-prosperity and sustainable development.” By deepening collaboration with local communities and advancing innovative projects that balance environmental protection with social needs, GreenRock aims to make green energy a cornerstone of regional development—enhancing overall social well-being and creating a brighter future for the people of Chiayi.
