Green Rock Group purchased 25 boxes of premium pomelos from old trees in Madou, Tainan, to give to company employees. This initiative not only supports southern small farmers and helps with agricultural sales, but also benefits our staff.
Demonstrating Support for Rural Economies and Practicing ESG Principles through Action
In the wave of globalization, local small farmers often face challenges in production and sales. However, with support from all sectors of society, they are gradually opening a new chapter. This year, we have taken concrete action to assist small farmers in southern Taiwan by actively purchasing locally grown specialty pomelos. This initiative not only helps alleviate the pressure of unsold produce but also promotes local economic development.
Renowned for their sweet and juicy flavor, pomelos are loved by consumers. However, due to the impact of the pandemic, sales channels have been limited, causing significant stress for many fruit growers. We firmly believe that supporting farmers goes beyond economic assistance—it is also a commitment to sustainable agricultural development. By purchasing directly from farmers, we shorten the supply chain, reduce losses from intermediaries, ensure farmers receive fair compensation for their hard work, and allow consumers to enjoy the freshest fruit.
This is more than just a purchase; it is a tangible demonstration of support for rural economies and the practice of ESG principles. We hope that more people will join such charitable initiatives in the future, working together to create a brighter, more sustainable future for agriculture.
