GreenRock Energy's Subsidiary Gorilla Power Surpasses 1 Billion kWh in AI-Enabled Green Power Sales Contracts
Gorilla Power Trading, a subsidiary of GreenRock Energy, has officially surpassed a cumulative and contracted power supply volume of 1 billion kilowatt-hours (kWh).
Since officially obtaining its renewable energy retail license in 2025, Gorilla Power Trading, a subsidiary of GreenRock Energy (7833), has rapidly expanded its presence in Taiwan’s green power market. Leveraging GreenRock’s extensive experience in renewable energy project development and power dispatching, Gorilla Power has successfully penetrated Taiwan’s key supply chain sectors and announced the signing of long-term green power transfer agreements with major domestic semiconductor manufacturers. To date, the company’s cumulative delivered and contracted green power volume has officially exceeded 1 billion kilowatt-hours (kWh), underscoring strong market recognition of its integrated green power trading capabilities.
As the widespread adoption of renewable energy and the liberalization of electricity markets introduce increasing complexity, Gorilla Power has moved beyond traditional power sales models. To address corporate challenges such as generation intermittency and surplus power losses, GreenRock has partnered with leading domestic research institutions to develop an AI-powered smart green power trading platform. By fully deploying heuristic algorithms, the platform optimizes the matching of electricity demand and generation efficiency, with projections indicating a 16% increase in total transferred power volume and a 34% reduction in surplus power losses. This technology maximizes green power utilization while delivering tangible economic value to corporate clients through reduced procurement costs and enhanced arbitrage opportunities.
Beyond its technological strengths, Gorilla Power is committed to improving transparency and digitalization in corporate energy management. The trading platform integrates real-time electricity monitoring systems, enabling clients to track power consumption and generation performance at any time while ensuring full transparency in green power tracking and renewable energy certificate acquisition. Automated billing functions significantly reduce administrative burdens, while AI-driven real-time advisory services provide professional recommendations on grid fluctuations and contract optimization—positioning the platform as a “smart brain” supporting enterprises on their path to net-zero transformation.
Meng-Heng Yeh, Chairman of GreenRock Energy, stated that Gorilla Power will continue to leverage GreenRock’s vertically integrated strengths in solar power projects and energy storage systems, further advancing a one-stop “green power plus storage” service model. Through efficient AI-enabled dispatching, the company aims to integrate geographically distributed renewable energy projects and storage assets into a virtual power plant, meeting the substantial green power demand of the semiconductor and electronics industries while enhancing the resilience of Taiwan’s energy supply and supporting corporate progress toward RE100 goals.
